Control 2 provides comprehensive energy saving features with flexible manual and automatic controls. Based on addressable DALI luminaires and devices it allows sophisticated control solutions to be created without complicated wiring and installation. In essence all Control 2 systems are the same, all luminaires and control devices are connected to a single bus pair of cables. During commissioning the flexible nature of all the devices allows a huge range of different behaviors to be programmed. Control 2 is an ideal system for medium to large size rojects that do not require overall building management control. It is as suitable for offices, as for for schools and classrooms. It also suits dimming of tungsten loads in residential and retail environments. |

Comprehensive Energy SavingUsing DALI Multisensors, Control 2 can be set up to provide extremely efficient lighting. Daylight RegulationWhen natural daylight fills a room there's no need for your lights to be running at full power. By sensing the daylight and reducing the light level Control 2 maintains an ideal even illumination and saves energy. Even on a cloudy day there's often enough daylight to make significant savings. Absence DetectionRather than turing the lights on whenever anyone enters a room like a conventional presence detector, Absence detection only turn lights of when you've left. It requires a manual input to bring the lights on in the first place - further savings. Maintenance factor compensationDuring the planning of a new lighting installation, it is common to design such that the inital installation is overlit by about 25% This is to compensate for degradation of the lamps over their lifetime and for accumulation of dirt on the lamps and luminaires between relamps. Using the same sensor as for daylight regulation, even rooms with no natural light can benefit from 10-15% energy savings by maintaining the optimal lighting level rather than an overlit one. Of course if the area remains clean and the lamps are well maintained, savings can be even higher,.

Flexible ControlA wide range of components are available within the system, they allow the implementation of advanced functions without complicated wiring. The flexibility that DALI allows means that individual luminaires are addressed within the system enabling you to tailor the lighting exactly rather than relying on hard wired groups. In addition to this should the area's use change, a partition wall is put up for example, the lighting can be reconfigured without having to change the wiring at all. People friendlySimple push button controls, intuitive sliders and rotary dimmers and feature rich LCD displays can all be added to the system. The end users interaction with the system is as important as any other aspect of it. With such a wide range of options the system can be tailored exacty the the needs and wishes of the end user. |

Simple InstallationA permanent live at every luminaire and a single two core bus cable that runs around every device - luminaire, switch, sensor etc. Thats it. For surface/suspended luminaires the whole thing can even be wired in 5 core flex as the bus cable is resistant to interference from mains. Its also polarity insensitive so you don't need to keep track of the bus polarity like with a 1-10v system.

External connectionsIn the connected world systems are converging. In lecture theatres, home cinemas and even cafes and bars the lighting needs to respond to the task at hand or the mood of the environment. With interfaces to allow connections to AV controllers such as AMX or Crestron touch panels everything operates as one. |
